Athens Tour

Choose this private tour from AirportTransfer to get the full experience of what the city of Athens has to offer.

Starting with a location of your preference as the pick-up point, this tour's first stop is Acropolis where we drop you off and give you the chance to walk up what's called "The Sacred Rock" and enjoy not only a great view but also the Parthenonthe Caryatids, the Temple of Athena Nike, and every other sight. The next stop could be no other than the Acropolis Museum, that houses every artifact found on the rock and on the surrounding slopes, from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and Byzantine Greece.

Leaving the "holy rock", we are visiting a very popular spot in the city of Athens: the Columns of the Olympian Zeus - ruins of a temple which took more than 600 years to be constructed. The Panathenaic Stadium (known to Greeks mostly as "Καλλιμάρμαρο"), where the first modern Olympic Games were hosted, is our next step for you to get another dose of Ancienct Greek history.

Mount Lycabettus couldn't be missing from our itinerary of private tour in Athens as it's one of the most popular visiting spots not only for tourists from all over the world but also artists of any kind, having featured the likes of Ray Charles, Bob Dylan and Scorpions - among others - on its theater. The great view of the city of Athens that it offers will please you even if there is no such artist performing when you visit.

The second to last stops are the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, in front of the Greek Parliament and next to Syntagma Square, and Panepistimio, next to the National Library and the Athenean Academy. Finally, the tour concludes in either Monastiraki, well known for its market, or Plaka, for those of you that prefer eating over shopping.

The tour is offered as eithe "half-day" (4 hours) or "full-day" (8 hours), with enough flexibility for you to enjoy every moment of it and can also be modified accordingly to meet your personal tastes so book now or get in touch with us for more details!
